Playing for Gold

My name is Karen M. Joseph and I was born and raised in Manhattan. I attended the High School of Music and Performing Arts. After graduating high school I was accepted into Queens College where I became a Lady Knight.

In 1982 I moved to Florida and continued my education. I have an A.S, B.S and an Masters in Public Administration.

For 25 years I served the citizens of Miami Dade County. I am a retired firefighter, paramedic, hazardous materials specialist for Miami Dade Fire Rescue. Presently, I am an adjunct instructor at Miami Dade College and an instructor/trainer at NOVA Southeastern University.

Last year I joined the Broward Heat basketball team. We play in the Senior Games all over the U.S. where the only goal is to bring home the “gold”.
