Hush them up!

Growing up in the projects, I saw a lot of fights, especially girl fights. So I went on the basketball court and started playing B.ball with the guys. The guys did not fight and argue that much, but they did a lot of trash talking, sometimes the guys’ use to trash talk me and I would just show them (Hush them up). When I beat them, it was fun.

I started going to the community center in Claremont, this is where I saw Noodie, Mary, Barbara, and Selma playing B-Ball and started playing with them and other teams over the years.  I played high school basketball at Walton. I also played college basketball at BMCC and all summer tournaments.

B-ball became my passion and still is to this day, watching college games, NBA, WNBA, and the Big 3. Over the years, I saw and met a lot of B-ball players females and males at Madison Square Garden, Harlem Rutgers and other places throughout New York City.

I remember playing B-ball at Madison Square Garden for the very first time with my teammates from Walton HS. Playing against Stevenson HS I was amazed frozen in shock, while walking onto the court at MSG. Playing as a shooting guard and point guard on the official court of the New York Knicks. I was so nervous the bright lights and really big court…A dream come true.. the love of the game, the fans and seeing the Knicks in person (Earl the Pearl Monroe) and Walt Clyde Frazier) the best and most amazing time in my life.
